Admittedly, I was slightly sceptical about how suppliers would treat a 30 minute meeting and how quickly they'd want to focus in on budgeted spend. I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a hard sell and only one of the meetings I attended felt like I was being talked at with otherwise very little interaction. All others felt like grown-up discussions. The lunch/dinner arrangements worked well and all my "neighbours" were pleasant at each meal. The venue/logistics were excellent - thankfully it was raining which meant there wasn't any temptation to step outside. The keynote speaker at night one dinner was excellent.”

“We were very sceptical about attending the HR Summit in Barcelona, as we had already spent over GBP 50,000 on marketing events this year, without a lot of success. We had also heard of bad experiences from people attending similar 1:1 events -organised by other companies. However, we decided to give it a go and I am very pleased that we did! We should, hopefully, get a return on our investment from the HR Summit in Barcelona which will cover all the losses from all the other 6 events which we have attended in 2016. I am fully aware that our current sales are based on past activities and that business growth is attained when we maintain a consistent and focused effort on new business generation.
